Iowa College Aid celebrates National GEAR UP Week by premiering the latest video in the "Iowa College Aid Success Stories" series. GEAR UP Iowa alum Taylor Hills discusses how GEAR UP helped prepare her for college and the impact the program had on her school, town and her future as a college student.

GEAR UP stands for Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs. In Iowa, the GEAR UP Iowa program works with  students starting in the 7th grade and following them through their first year of college, working with students to help them prepare for college and build a "college-going" culture in their schools and communities.

In 2014, a new group of almost 6,300 7th graders in 12 partnering Iowa school districts joined nearly 40 partnering institutions of higher education and community-based organizations for Iowa College Aid's latest group of GEAR UP Iowa students.

This new video can be found in Iowa College Aid's Video Gallery, located here.
