Central College

Central College, founded in 1853, is located in Pella, Iowa, a thriving community just 40 minutes from Des Moines. Central is dedicated to student success, and 97 percent of students are placed within a year of graduation. Additionally, 92 percent of students who graduate do so in four years. And with 99 percent of students receiving financial aid, Central is an affordable choice. Central offers numerous academic and interest-based scholarships and awards for new students.

Central’s 73 academic programs are taught by expert faculty, not teaching assistants. Academic coursework integrates real-world experience. Students are encouraged to pursue service learning and internships, and all majors offer the flexibility to study abroad and still graduate in four years.

The connections formed at Central last a lifetime. From friends and classmates to faculty and alumni, students form a community of supporters.
