Kibbie Grant Reports

Expected Family Contribution (EFC)

Established in 2012, the Kibbie Grant is a state grant program which provides need-based financial assistance to Iowa residents enrolled in specified vocational-technical or career option programs at eligible Iowa community colleges. The chart shows the maximum Expected Family Contribution (EFC) levels for Kibbie Grant recipients in its first four award years. (The EFC is a measure of a student's/family's ability to pay for education; it is the amount a student/family can be expected to contribute towards college costs as determined from information provided on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The lower a student's EFC, the greater the student's/family's need for financial aid.)
