3-Step Process

Iowa College Aid works with high schools throughout Iowa to build a college-going culture. Three of our programs make up the "3-Step Process:" The Iowa College Application Campaign encourages students to complete at least one college application during school; The FAFSA Completion Initiative provides support and data to schools to help increase completion rates of the Free Application for Student Aid; and Iowa College Decision Day celebrates the college plans of graduating seniors while increasing college awareness to all students.

GEAR UP Iowa Student Summit 2016

GEAR UP Iowa's first Student Summit was held June 12-15, 2016. GEAR UP Iowa students from across the state were chosen to attend this free summer experience to grow as a student leader, set personal goals and continue to explore college and careers. Students had the opportunity to interact with current college student mentors for four days on the Grand View University campus in Des Moines.

"What is College?"

In 2016, Iowa College Aid premiered "What is College?," a series of short videos aimed at giving students and families assistance at better understanding topics affecting college enrollment and success. The series continues in 2017.
