U.S. Department of Education Offers Parent's Guide To Completing the FAFSA

Wednesday, January 6, 2016

Families preparing to send their students to college can benefit from completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Regardless of income or location, the FAFSA is a critical document that helps schools determine financial aid, grants and scholarships available to potential students. The FAFSA is a qualifying document to be eligible for Iowa College Aid grants and scholarships.

To help families better understand the importance of the FAFSA, as well as assist families to correctly and accurately complete the FAFSA, the U.S. Department of Education has created "The Parent's Guide to Completing the FAFSA." This guide helps parents understand what is needed before completing the FAFSA, gives advice on completing the online application and what to expect after FAFSA submission.
