Required documents to file your FAFSA:

  • Social Security Number
  • Drivers License Number
  • Most recent Federal income tax returns
  • W-2 Forms or records of money earned
  • Record of untaxed income benefits
  • Bank statements and records of other investments such as stocks, bonds, and mutual funds.
  • PIN (helpful, but not required)
TIP: You should apply for a PIN before completing the FAFSA online. You will need a PIN to sign your FAFSA on the Web application electronically, make corrections to a submitted FAFSA, and to access your U.S. Department of Education records online. To apply for a PIN, go to www.pin.ed.gov.
