Required documents to file your FAFSA:

  • Social Security Numbers (student and parent)
  • Drivers License Number (student)
  • Most recent Federal income tax returns (student and parent)
  • W-2 Forms or records of money earned (student and parent)
  • Record of untaxed income benefits (student and parent)
  • Bank statements and records of other investments such as stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. (student and parent)
  • PIN (helpful, but not required)
TIP: The student and one of the student’s parents should apply for a PIN. You will need a PIN to sign your FAFSA on the Web application electronically, make corrections to a submitted FAFSA, and to access your U.S. Department of Education records online. To apply for a PIN, go to www.pin.ed.gov.
