Iowa College Aid is pleased to offer Paws in Jobland, an online career awareness program designed with Iowa's youngest students in mind. Through this program, elementary students can build self-awareness, identify personal interests and explore the world of work.
Introducing Paws

Paws in Jobland is a career and education exploration tool designed with elementary students in mind. Through this program, kindergarten through fifth grade students can explore over 100 different career possibilities with the help of the program's canine tour guide, Paws.

Discover The World Of Work

Student discover the world of work through an adaptable system which addresses multiple learning styles and encourages them to learn more about themselves and the people that make up their neighborhood. Educators can easily integrate Paws in Jobland into their classroom with free worksheets and lesson plans found at www.IHaveAPlanIowa.gov within the "For Educators" section. In addition, online access for parents extends the program beyond the classroom and into the student's home.

Paws in Jobland is an addition to the statewide web portal, I Have A Plan Iowa™. The portal is a free resource for Iowans to research career opportunities, explore education options, and learn how to use education to meet career goals. Students using Paws in Jobland can access the system without creating an account or signing in by simply select "Elementary Student" on www.IHaveAPlanIowa.gov.
