I Have A Plan Iowa™
I Have A Plan Iowa™ is a comprehensive web-based planning tool that assists Iowans as they explore education and career options. I Have A Plan Iowa™ has been designated as Iowa's career information system by the Iowa Department of Education. Iowa Code Section 279.61 specifies that all Iowa students must create a career plan in grade 8 and complete the required components in the state-designated career information system in grades 8-12. This legislation went into effect for the school year beginning July 1, 2008.

Updating College Profiles
Students in Iowa are currently using I Have A Plan Iowa™ to create their plans. One of the requirements during the process is to explore programs and majors and postsecondary institutions. College profiles are visible in I Have A Plan Iowa™ so students are learning about your institution. By default, the data that populates the profile comes from Wintergreen Orchard House. However, colleges have the ability to update their profile to ensure the content is as up-to-date and customized as possible. Colleges can also add logos, photos, links and videos to make their profile more appealing to students.
College staff can request a Control Center account to:
In order to receive a Control Center account to update a college's profile, college staff must complete and submit the Memorandum of Understanding.
Online Admission Application
In addition to the profile updates, colleges and universities can also have an online admission application available to students using I Have A Plan Iowa™. The application allows students to easily apply to an institution during their college and career planning process. There is no development cost to Iowa colleges and universities. Iowa College Aid has negotiated the price of the application into our contract.
The application is customized for each institution with their logo and required data fields and is developed by Xap Corporation based on the college's specifications and input. Colleges can choose to keep their current application and use this as an additional application or they can use this as their only application. The application will be available to students on I Have A Plan Iowa™ and can also be available through the college's website. In addition, a college's application and profile would be available in those states that have portals similar to I Have A Plan Iowa™.

- Opt in to the student recruiter to receive contact information for those students who have requested information about their college.
