Financial Literacy

Financial literacy is a key component for success in the 21st century. Many programs and resources are available to help increase financial literacy among Iowa students and families.
Vault™

Vault™ is an interactive, online financial literacy program designed to help students in the 4th through 6th grades establish smart habits and attitudes about handling money. The program incorporates multiple evidence-based learning theories to build students’ knowledge and skill sets for making good financial decisions at a young age.  The six easy-to-follow learning groups map to both state and national educational standards for financial literacy.  Upon completing a learning group, students “unlock” a game and are able to apply what they have learned in real-life scenarios. Vault™ is provided free to Iowa elementary and middle schools through a partnership between Iowa College Aid and EverFi, Inc. Contact Iowa College Aid at (877) 272-4456 for more information.
