Buttonwood™
Buttonwood™ is a web-based personal finance and student loan management platform for college students. The program addresses over 600 key financial literacy concepts, contained in seven modules, with a focus on financial aid and loan default prevention. The experience is personalized for each user, allowing them to make financial decisions in the virtual environments which directly reflect their real-life situation. Variables, such as enrollment status, marital status, location, debt level and more are taken into consideration by the system when adapting the users experience. Buttonwood™, accessible through www.IHaveAPlanIowa.gov, is free to Iowa higher education institutions and students through a partnership between Iowa College Aid and EverFi, Inc. Read More
Iowa Financial Literacy Program
The Iowa Financial Literacy Program is part of the high school student portion of I Have A Plan Iowa™. Designed as a capstone for a high school financial literacy curriculum, the Iowa Financial Literacy Program teaches, assesses and certifies high school students in over 600 core concepts of personal finance. Mission: Money Control
Iowa College Aid understands how important it is for students to establish good money management habits. To this end, Iowa College Aid has developed a financial literacy program called, Mission: Money Control. Through this program, Iowa College Aid staff delivers presentations regarding a variety of financial topics to middle school, high school and college students and their families. In addition, Iowa College Aid has developed a series of e-postcards on financial topics that educators and college professionals can email to students or print for distribution.
